Swedish artist Ylva Maria Thompson cast about 100 vaginas in 1999.
This was done for an exhibition called "Anonymous Exhibitionists"
"Midori: How did your pussy cast art start?
Ylva: The project is called “Anonymous Exhibitionist”. I told the women who wanted to be in the project that they had a fantastic chance to show their pussies at art galleries, museum, art shows around the world without anybody knowing it was them.
In 1999 I decided to make 100 casts. I decided to do this to give an opportunity for women to look at other women’s pussies without shame, without looking at porno magazines, to be able to study them in relaxed way."
